ARCS’ Medical Benefits Specialists provide HIV-positive Hudson Valley residents with education and assistance with enrolling in all appropriate health care insurance to enhance early access to quality healthcare. The ultimate goal is to decrease the disparities in health outcomes for minority populations. Two Specialists, one located in the Mid-Hudson and one in Lower Hudson, outreach and engage individuals in high need areas and help them sing up for available programs such as ADAP, ADAP Plus, Medicaid, and other entitlements. The Specialists also provide trainings and presentations to service providers on the availability of healthcare coverage and HIV treatment options. Once enrolled, clients are referred to any other necessary services within ARCS or through our extensive network of providers.
