Your donation stays in the Hudson Valley to help your neighbors affected by HIV/AIDS.

Donate by Mail

While ARCS’ programs are partially supported by federal and state grants, we rely on donations from individuals, foundations, corporations and local businesses, and funding from special events. Financial and in-kind private donations and grants are vital in meeting our clients’ constantly changing needs and prevent further spread of HIV/AIDS.

ARCS is registered under the legal name of Mid-Hudson Valley AIDS Task Force, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation with the State of New York Office of Charities Registration. All contributions are deductible to the full extent of the law.

If you have any questions, please contact J. Dewey at (914) 785-8326.

Our Resource Enhandement staff will work with you to discuss the various giving opportunities, including special gifts and directed gifts. ARCS works with estate planning professionals in order to assist you in making gifts through charitable remainder annuity trusts, unitrusts, charitable lead trusts, donations of property or stock, bequests, and other vehicles that provide financial benefits to both ARCS and you or your family.

Emergency Food Closets

ARCS operates emergency food closets in all our offices. This service is free of charge to our clients. We rely heavily on your donations. We can always use financial donations, food items and toiletry items.

Household basics like shampoo, deodorant, soap, lotions, feminine hygience products, laundry detergent, cleaning products, and paper goods are often too expensive for our clients, and are not as easy for ARCS to acquire at local food banks. Donations of these items in addition to non-perishable foods are needed most.

You can purchase items off our Amazon Wish List, too. These items are examples of the most requested items in our food closets.

While ARCS does not accept donations of clothing, furniture, or household items, we encourage you to donate these items to other local non-profit agencies.

If you're looking to donate clothes in Dutchess County, please consider giving them to Dutchess Outreach at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie. Their contact number is (845) 454-3792.

Please call Jana Calabrese at (914) 785-8283 to make a donation or make an inquiry about food closet needs. You may also contact your local ARCS office to schedule a donation drop-off time.
