LGBT Interfaith Partnership Celebrates Pride and Spirit, Sunday, June 19th
Rev. Pat Bumgardner Speaks: “Equal Rights – No More, No Less”

The second annual Celebration of Pride and Spirit for lesbian-gay-bi- and transgender people within faith communities will be presented by the LBGT Interfaith Partnership on Sunday, June 19, 2005, starting at 3:00 pm. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome.

To be held at the Community Unitarian Church of White Plains, located at 468 Rosedale Avenue, the afternoon activities include readings, music and featured keynote speaker, Rev. Pat Bumgardner, Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Community Church NYC. Bumgardner, a Masters of Divinity graduate of Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, will address “Equal Rights – No More, No Less.”

Musical accompaniment is to be provided by Purple Rose, a band comprised of Lisa Barile, Jean Marie Angelo and Joanne Prinzivalle—lesbian musicians who perform an eclectic mix of music.

Interfaith Partnership is an ecumenical, inter-religious organization committed to the full inclusion of LGBT peoples within faith communities throughout the region. The group achieves this objective primarily through education, outreach and advocacy.

Interfaith Partnership members include representatives from AIDS Related Community Services; Hawthorne, NY; Community Unitarian Church, White Plains, NY; Congregation Kol Ami, White Plains, NY; Grace Episcopal Church, White Plains, NY; Memorial United Methodist Church, White Plains, NY; Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, Nyack, NY; and Temple Israel Center, White Plains, NY.
