FOCUS helps families create a more secure future for children. Eligible families will have dependent children through the age of 21 living in the household. The program helps families remain stable by providing assistance with standby guardianship, health care proxies, wills, living wills and power of attorney.

FOCUS staff will also help new caregivers negotiate health, education, and social service systems by providing referrals, advocacy and supportive counseling. FOCUS operates in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties.
