ARCS offers two programs specifically designed to prevent the spread of HIV among women, particularly among African-American and Hispanic women in urban areas of Westchester County. Our PALS program (Peer Alliance for Living Safely) provides HIV testing to women at high risk and encourages them to reach out their friends and family members for testing, too. The SISTA program works with women in group settings, empowering them to take charge of their health, their bodies and their relationships to prevent exposure to HIV. Both programs can be accessed at our Hawthorne headquarters or at the Mosaic Center in Mount Vernon.
