Thanks to all who joined us for a celebration of our volunteers on Friday, May 2nd!

There are a number of ways that volunteers can help AIDS-Related Community Services to fulfill its mission. Opportunities include:

• Hudson Valley AIDS Walk: Volunteers are needed in all aspects of facilitating this year's event, from being Walk Team Leaders to helping set up.
• Support Services: Volunteers needed in all aspects of internal functioning from clerical support services to participation in our development and marketing efforts.
• Professional Services volunteers use their expertise to provide services for people with HIV/AIDS such as facilitating support groups, providing relaxation training, etc.
• The Personal Experience Speakers Bureau (PESB) is a volunteer group for those interested in speaking publicly about their experiences with HIV and AIDS. PESB members can include anyone infected or affected by HIV or AIDS. For more information please call David Lovegreen at (914) 785-8214.
• The Food and Clothing Pantry volunteers help stock the pantry, sort donations, and staff the pantry during hours of operations.
• Resource Enhancement provides opportunities for volunteers to participate in such fundraising activites as the AIDS Walk, special fundraising dinners and other interesting events.
• Organizations and Clubs provides your local high schools with the opportunity to host an ongoing program where students take responsibility for special events and educating their community about HIV and AIDS awareness.
• Representative of Education and Prevention: Go to health fairs in your area to answer questions about HIV/AIDS and the serices ARCS provides.

From time to time other opportunities may present themselves, and volunteers are matched to those activities on an individual basis. We need you! Your community needs you! The participation of caring individuals is essential if we are to succeed! Please share your expertise and commitment with us!
