Celebrating Our Dedicated, Hard-Working, Wonderful Volunteers!
Dozens of ARCS' volunteers, staff members and future volunteers gathered in our Hawthorne Training Room on Friday, May 2, 2008 for an afternoon celebration to commemorate National Volunteer Recognition Week. David Lovegreen, our Volunteer Coordinator, said a few words to honor all those who donate their time and energy to helping our clients. Guests enjoyed a selection of afternoon snacks and desserts, including two dozen Do-Goodie brownies graciously donated by Greyston Bakery for the occasion.

A pair of cakes read "Thank You!" because we can never thank our volunteers enough!
Volunteers, staff and board members had a chance to meet, mingle and learn from each other.

Jeff Kraus, Executive Director, chats with volunteer Carol Campbell. Jill Sallie, SISTA Educator, and Sandy Mansueto, Jail Services Associate, share a laugh.
Our guests sampled various dips and crackers before diving into dessert, which included Do-Goodie brownies (left) donated specifically for our volunteers by Greyston Bakery of Yonkers. About National Volunteer Recognition Week
April 28 - May 2 honors the millions of volunteers across America who devote countless hours, endless energy, and selfless love to thousands of non-profit groups. We honored two of our long-term volunteers, Randy Baron and Elizabeth Fernandes, in the April issue of the New York Non-Profit newspaper.
We salute ALL our volunteers! We couldn't do this without you.
