What if people came out of the AIDS Quilt to tell their stories?
"Between the Seams"
a new HIV Prevention Play by Dan Gallagher
"Between the Seams" was written to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS and make it a more memorable and meaningful experience. Typical education presentations have an impact on the minds of its audience for about three months. A dramatic theatrical presentation has proven to be much more effective.
Adding a face to the pandemic makes a difference in how we all see this disease.
Testimonials from audience members:
"It was so beautiful!"
"It made me cry!"
"It was so tastefully done...this is so powerful and really makes you think."
"This is prevention education...I want everyone to see this!"
From the moment the characters come out of their quilt panels, they have one message that resonates: you don't want to wind up with us, "Between the Seams."
